1 dead after stabbing outside downtown SF BART station
Suspect arrested; victim identified
San Francisco police are investigating following a deadly stabbing outside the Montgomery Street BART station in the city's Financial District on Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to reports of a stabbing at around 9:32 a.m.
When officers arrived, however, they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, although he later died from his injuries.
The suspect was quickly apprehended in the area with a bloody knife in his hand, and he has since been arrested.
The victim has been identified as 41-year-old Pittsburg resident Cory Watts.
The suspect's identity has not yet been released; however, police say he is 34 years old and from San Francisco.
Investigators are still working to determine the motive behind the stabbing.
