Braun has served as Allegion's General Counsel since 2016 and has been with the company for over 20 years.

During his tenure, Braun has led Allegion's legal team through a number of significant transactions, including the company's initial public offering and the acquisition of several businesses. Allegion has announced that Paul Richard will succeed Braun as General Counsel, effective April 1, 2023. Richard has been with Allegion since 2017, most recently serving as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. Prior to joining Allegion, Richard held various legal and compliance roles at other companies, including General Electric and PepsiCo.
