Cameron Menzies has revealed that working as a plumber alongside his darts career provides him with the perfect release away from the pressures of the oche.

The 28-year-old has enjoyed a memorable year on the PDC circuit, winning two Players Championship events while also reaching the final of the European Championship in Dortmund.

Menzies is now preparing for the upcoming Grand Slam of Darts, which takes place at the Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton from November 12-20.

In an interview with The Scottish Sun, Menzies discussed the importance of his plumbing job in helping him to stay grounded.

"It definitely keeps you grounded," said Menzies.

"When you're playing well and winning tournaments, it's easy to get carried away and think you're better than you are.

"But then you go back to work and you're fixing toilets and boilers, and it brings you right back down to earth.
