Blues defender expects tough test at Parkhead

Alonso: 'We have to be at our best'

Celtic need a "miracle" to beat Chelsea in the Champions League, according to Blues defender Marcos Alonso.

The Scottish champions trail 3-0 from the first leg of their last-16 tie and Alonso is expecting a tough test at Parkhead on Wednesday night.

"It's going to be a very difficult game," said Alonso. "Celtic are a good team and they will be playing at home. We have to be at our best to get a result.

"We know that we have a good lead from the first leg, but we can't afford to be complacent. We have to go out there and play our own game.

"If we do that, I'm confident that we can get the win. But it's going to be a tough game and we're going to have to be at our best.

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is also expecting a tough game, but he is confident that his team can turn the tie around.

"We know it's going to be a difficult task," said Postecoglou. "But we have belief in ourselves and we know that we can do it.

"We're going to go out there and give it our all. We're going to play our own game and we're going to see what happens.

"I'm confident that we can get the win. We're going to need a lot of things to go our way, but I believe in my team.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 8pm GMT on Wednesday night.
