Killer's identity confirmed on Monday in double bill

Coronation Street's soap bosses have confirmed that the identity of Joel's killer will be unmasked on Monday night.

The hour-long special, available on ITVX, had originally been planned to air on Sunday at 8pm, but it has now been pushed back 24 hours.

A spokesperson for the show said: "Due to ongoing editing, the special hour-long episode of Coronation Street due to broadcast tomorrow night has been postponed by 24 hours.

"The episode will now air on Monday 22nd August at 8pm."

It is believed that the delay is to allow for last-minute filming to take place, as well as to give the production team more time to edit the episode.

The identity of Joel's killer will be revealed in a double bill on Monday night, which will air at 8pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
