Everton handed new Jarrad Branthwaite injury concern after England squad exit
Branthwaite suffered the knock during England Under-21s' 3-1 win over Germany
The defender is now a doubt for Everton's Premier League clash with Brighton on Saturday
Everton have been handed a fresh injury concern over defender Jarrad Branthwaite after he was forced to withdraw from the England Under-21s squad with a knock.
Branthwaite suffered the injury during England's 3-1 win over Germany on Tuesday night and is now a doubt for Everton's Premier League clash with Brighton on Saturday.
The 20-year-old has been a regular for the Toffees this season, making 11 appearances in all competitions, and his absence would be a blow to manager Frank Lampard.
Branthwaite is not the only Everton player currently sidelined with injury, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Yerry Mina, and Andros Townsend also out.
Lampard will be hoping that Branthwaite's injury is not serious and that he will be available for selection against Brighton.
