Former Chelsea star Jody Morris has won his first trophy as a manager after guiding his current club, Sutton United, to victory in the Papa John's Trophy.
Morris, who was part of Chelsea's famed '92 Academy side which also included John Terry and Ashley Cole, helped the Blues win the FA Youth Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and the League Cup during his playing days.
After retiring from playing, Morris moved into coaching and has since worked with the England national team, Chelsea's academy and Derby County.
He was appointed manager of Sutton United in October 2021 and has since led the club to promotion from the National League South and victory in the Papa John's Trophy.
Morris' success as a manager has led to some fans calling for him to be given a chance to manage Chelsea one day.
However, Morris has said that he is happy at Sutton United and is not looking to leave the club anytime soon.
"I'm really enjoying my time at Sutton United," Morris said. "We've got a great group of players and staff, and I'm really excited about the future."
"I'm not thinking about Chelsea at the moment. I'm just focused on doing my best for Sutton United."
Morris' success as a manager is a reminder that there is life after playing for Chelsea.
Many former Chelsea players have gone on to have successful careers in coaching, including Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and Roberto Di Matteo.
Morris is the latest in a long line of former Chelsea players to prove that they can be just as successful off the pitch as they were on it.
