The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 131-114 on Tuesday night, with three players scoring 20 or more points. Ja Morant led the way with 22 points, while Dillon Brooks and Jaren Jackson Jr. each added 20.
The Grizzlies led by just four points at halftime, but they pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Lakers 35-23. Morant was particularly impressive in the third, scoring 10 points and dishing out four assists.
The Lakers were led by LeBron James, who had 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists. Anthony Davis also had a good game, finishing with 24 points and 12 rebounds.
Grizzlies Improve to 23-13
With the win, the Grizzlies improve to 23-13 on the season. They are now in sixth place in the Western Conference, just 1.5 games behind the fifth-place Los Angeles Clippers.
The Lakers, meanwhile, fall to 19-19 on the season. They are now in ninth place in the Western Conference, 3.5 games behind the eighth-place Golden State Warriors.
