The long-awaited Broadway revival of Meredith Willson's The Music Man will star Hugh Jackman as Harold Hill, Sutton Foster as Marian Paroo, and Deborra-Lee Furness as Mrs. Paroo.
Jackman is a Tony Award winner for his roles in The Boy from Oz and The Producers. He is also known for his roles in the X-Men films and The Greatest Showman.
Foster is a Tony Award winner for her roles in Thoroughly Modern Millie and Anything Goes. She is also known for her roles in the TV shows Younger and Bunheads.
Furness is a Golden Globe Award winner for her role in the TV show Underbelly. She is also known for her roles in the films Last Chance Harvey and The Proposition.
The Music Man is a musical comedy about a con man who comes to a small town in Iowa and tries to sell the townspeople on a boys' band. The show features such classic songs as "Seventy-Six Trombones," "Trouble," and "Till There Was You."
The revival of The Music Man will be directed by Jerry Zaks. Zaks is a Tony Award winner for his work on Guys and Dolls and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
The Music Man will begin performances on October 22, 2022, at the Winter Garden Theatre. The show is scheduled to open on November 10, 2022.
