Man Arrested After Fleeing Officers Near Tomah
Suspect Taken Into Custody After Pursuit
A man was arrested after fleeing from law enforcement officers in Monroe County on Saturday after afternoon.
Incident Details
According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on County Road G near Tomah around 1:30 p.m. The driver failed to stop and led deputies on a pursuit.
The pursuit continued south on County Road G, then west on State Highway 21. The driver eventually turned north onto County Road U, where he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a ditch.
The driver, identified as 32-year-old James R. Miller of Tomah, was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Monroe County Jail and faces charges of fleeing an officer, resisting arrest, and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
