The Denver Nuggets were able to earn an important road win against the Boston Celtics, coming back from down 15 points to win by 4 in a game that saw eight lead changes in the fourth quarter.
The Celtics had gained a 15-point lead in the third quarter, but the Nuggets battled back and ended the quarter only down five. The Celtics upped their lead back to 11 early in the 4th quarter, but the Nuggets took their first lead with 3:20 to go in the game. Boston would tie it up again before Nikola Jokic hit a shot to give Denver the lead for good with 1:46 left.
Plumlee Steps Up in Fourth
Plumlee was a key part of Denver's fourth-quarter comeback. He scored 7 of his 15 points in the final period and grabbed 5 of his 10 rebounds.
Jokic led the Nuggets with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists. Jamal Murray added 22 points, and Aaron Gordon had 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 30 points. Jaylen Brown added 25 points, and Marcus Smart had 17 points and 10 rebounds.
The Nuggets improved to 40-18 with the win, while the Celtics fell to 35-23.
