Namibia To Host India For Twenty20 Series In 2024
The Namibia Cricket Board (NCB) has announced that Namibia will host India for a three-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series in 2024. This will be the first time that India will tour Namibia for a bilateral series. The series will be played in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, from March 15 to 19, 2024. The matches will be played at the Wanderers Cricket Ground. The NCB is excited to host India, one of the leading cricket nations in the world.“This is a historic moment for Namibian cricket,” said NCB CEO Johan Muller. “We are delighted to be hosting India, and we are sure that it will be a great series.”
India is currently ranked second in the ICC T20I rankings, while Namibia is ranked 14th.
The series will be a good opportunity for Namibia to test themselves against one of the best teams in the world. It will also be a chance for Namibian cricket fans to see some of the world’s best players in action.
The NCB is expecting a large crowd for the series. Tickets for the matches will go on sale in early 2024.
The series is part of India’s preparations for the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which will be held in the United States and the Caribbean.
Namibia is one of the fastest-rising teams in world cricket. They qualified for the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, their first appearance at a global cricket tournament.
India will be a tough test for Namibia, but it will be a good opportunity for the Namibian team to learn and improve.
