Flames erupt from a warehouse in Kensington as smoke billows over the city
Firefighters in Philadelphia are battling a massive 5-alarm warehouse fire in the city's Kensington neighborhood, with flames and smoke visible for miles.
The fire broke out at a warehouse on the 2900 block of North 2nd Street just before 11 p.m. Saturday night, and quickly escalated to a 5-alarm blaze, according to the Philadelphia Fire Department.
Flames shot through the roof of the massive building and thick smoke could be seen for miles. The fire could be seen as far north as Bensalem, New Jersey, according to the Bucks County Courier Times.
