Prudential appoints Jacques Chappuis as president and chief executive officer of PGIM
Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE: PRU) today announced that Jacques Chappuis has been appointed president and chief executive officer of PGIM, the global investment management businesses of Prudential.
Chappuis will succeed David Hunt, who has served as PGIM's president and CEO since 2016 and will remain with the company as vice chairman until his retirement in June 2023.
Chappuis has more than 30 years of experience in the investment management industry. He joined PGIM in 2013 as head of global fixed income and became head of PGIM Fixed Income in 2016. In this role, he oversaw PGIM's global fixed income platform, which manages more than $1 trillion in assets.
Prior to joining PGIM, Chappuis was head of global fixed income at Schroders Investment Management. He also held senior roles at UBS Global Asset Management and AllianceBernstein.
Chappuis is a graduate of the University of Geneva and holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
In his new role, Chappuis will be responsible for leading PGIM's global investment platform, which includes its public fixed income, private fixed income, real estate, real assets, and equity businesses.
