St. Bonaventure Men's Basketball Faces FGCU Nov. 13
Bonnies Begin Road Series
The St. Bonaventure men's basketball team opens its road portion of the 2022-23 season taking on the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles on Sunday, Nov. 13 at Alico Arena in Fort Myers, Fla.
Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. and the game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Scouting the Eagles
The Eagles are coming off a 19-14 season a year ago and return their top two scorers in Cyron Melvin and Isaiah Thompson. Melvin, a 6-foot-7 forward, averaged 14.9 points and 10.8 rebounds per game last year, while the 6-foot-3 guard Thompson averaged 12.2 points per game.
FGCU is led by head coach Michael Fly, who is entering his sixth season at the helm of the program. Fly has led the Eagles to two NCAA Tournament appearances in his five seasons.
The Bonnies hold a 2-1 advantage in the all-time series against the Eagles, with the last meeting coming in the 2019 NIT Season Tip-Off.
