The Gonzaga Bulldogs made a statement in their season-opening games, defeating Baylor and Arizona State at home. Against Baylor, the Bulldogs trailed by 10 points in the second half before rallying for a 86-79 victory. Drew Timme led the way for Gonzaga with 25 points and 14 rebounds.
In the following game, Gonzaga faced Arizona State. The Bulldogs controlled the game from start to finish, winning 92-69. Chet Holmgren impressed in his college debut, finishing with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Olympic Experience: Few Reflects on Team USA Success
Coach Few served as an assistant coach for Team USA at the Tokyo Olympics. The team went 5-3 and earned a bronze medal. Few praised the experience, saying that it was an honor to coach such talented players.
