Their Major Strength Is…': Jason Gillespie Explains What Makes Bumrah & Cummins So Special
Gillespie, a former Australian cricketer, was all praise for Bumrah and Cummins, saying that their ability to swing the ball both ways at high speeds is what makes them so special.
Former Australian cricketer Jason Gillespie has explained what makes Jasprit Bumrah and Pat Cummins two of the most special bowlers in the world.
Gillespie, who is now the head coach of the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League, said that Bumrah and Cummins' ability to swing the ball both ways at high speeds is what sets them apart from other bowlers.
"Their major strength is their ability to swing the ball both ways at high speeds," Gillespie told cricket.com.au.
"That makes them very difficult to play because batsmen don't know what to expect.
"They can also bowl yorkers and bouncers, which makes them even more dangerous."
Gillespie said that Bumrah and Cummins are also very good at reading the batsman's mind and setting them up.
"They are both very smart bowlers who can read the batsman's mind and set them up," Gillespie said.
"They know how to use their variations to get the batsman out."
Gillespie said that Bumrah and Cummins are two of the best bowlers in the world and that he is always impressed by their performances.
"They are two of the best bowlers in the world and I am always impressed by their performances," Gillespie said.
"They are a credit to their teams and to the game of cricket."
Bumrah and Cummins have been in excellent form in recent months, helping their respective teams to success.
Bumrah was the leading wicket-taker in the Indian Premier League (IPL) this year, helping the Mumbai Indians to win the title.
Cummins, meanwhile, has been in excellent form for Australia, taking 23 wickets in the recent Ashes series against England.
Both bowlers are expected to play key roles in the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup in Australia.
