Titan the Dog Helps Texas Police Catch Killer
A Texas police dog named Titan played a crucial role in the arrest of a suspected killer.
Titan and his handler, Officer David Salinas, were called to the scene of a shooting in the city of Waco on Monday night. The suspect had fled the scene, but Titan was able to track him down by following his scent. The suspect attempted to hide in a backyard, but Titan found him and held him at bay until Salinas arrived.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident and is now facing murder charges.
Police Chief Ryan Holt praised Titan for his role in the arrest, saying that he "was instrumental in bringing a dangerous criminal to justice." Holt also said that Titan is a valuable asset to the Waco Police Department and that he is proud of the work that he does.
Titan is a 3-year-old Belgian Malinois who has been with the Waco Police Department for two years. He is trained in narcotics detection, tracking, and apprehension. Titan is one of several police dogs that are used by the Waco Police Department to help keep the city safe.
