Wizards Rookies Impress Against Magic
Rui Hachimura and Moritz Wagner Shine in Summer League Debut
The Washington Wizards rookies put on an impressive performance in their Summer League debut against the Orlando Magic on Monday night. Rui Hachimura, the ninth overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, led the way with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Moritz Wagner, the 51st overall pick, added 18 points and 9 rebounds.
Hachimura was efficient from the field, shooting 9-of-15, including 2-of-5 from three-point range. He also showed off his athleticism with several impressive dunks.
Wagner was also efficient from the field, shooting 7-of-12, including 2-of-4 from three-point range. He also showed off his passing ability with several assists.
