Arizona State University's Sun Devils show fight against Grand Canyons Antelopes
ASU Sun Devils push through a tough game against GCU
In a thrilling matchup between in-state rivals, the Arizona State Sun Devils came out on top against the Grand Canyon Antelopes 80-74.
The game was close throughout, with neither team leading by more than 10 points. The Sun Devils took a 4-point lead into halftime, and they were able to hold on to that lead in the second half.
ASU Basketball Season Update
The Sun Devils are now 4-2 on the season, and they have won their last two games.
Junior guard DJ Horne led the way for the Sun Devils with 22 points and 4 assists.
Senior forward Kimani Lawrence added 15 points and 8 rebounds while sophomore forward Jalen Graham chipped in 13 points and 4 assists.
GCU Basketball Season Update
The Antelopes, also 4-2, have won their last two games.
Senior guard Holland Woods led the way for the Antelopes with 22 points and 4 rebounds, followed by senior guard Jovan Blacksher Jr. with 19 points, and graduate student forward Gabe McGlothan chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds.
Two Teams Prepare to Face Off Again
The Sun Devils will be back in action on Saturday, December 5th when they host the UC Riverside Highlanders.
The Antelopes will be back in action on Monday, December 6th when they take on the Idaho State University Bengals.
