Cavs' Jarrett Allen cleared to play!
This just in:
Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen, who has missed the past five games with a concussion, has been cleared to play in Friday night's game against the Chicago Bulls, the team announced Friday afternoon.
Details:
Allen suffered the concussion in a collision with New York Knicks forward Julius Randle on April 11, and has been in the NBA's concussion protocol since then.
He was able to fully practice with the team on Friday, and the team's medical staff has cleared him to play.
Allen is averaging 16.1 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game this season.
He will be a welcome addition to the Cavaliers' lineup, as they are currently fighting for a spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
