Cold front to hit South Texas tonight

A cold front is expected to hit South Texas tonight, bringing with it much colder temperatures. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a freeze warning for much of the region, with temperatures expected to drop into the 20s and 30s.

The cold front is expected to hit South Texas tonight, between 10pm and 2am. The coldest temperatures are expected to occur early Tuesday morning.
How much will temperatures drop?
Temperatures are expected to drop 20-30 degrees Fahrenheit once the cold front hits. Some areas could see temperatures drop even further, into the teens.

The cold front is expected to affect all of South Texas, including the cities of Corpus Christi, Laredo, McAllen, and Brownsville. The NWS has issued a freeze warning for the following counties:

What should you do to prepare?
The NWS advises residents to take the following precautions to prepare for the cold front:

- Dress in layers and wear a hat and gloves when going outside.
