Lakers Center Mo Bamba Sidelined With Left Ankle Sprain

Los Angeles Lakers center Mo Bamba suffered a left ankle sprain in Monday's preseason game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The severity of the injury is still being evaluated, but Bamba is expected to miss some time.

Bamba, who was acquired via trade in February, has been a key part of the Lakers' rotation this preseason. In four games, he is averaging 7.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game.

The Lakers are already without Anthony Davis, who is recovering from a foot injury. Davis is expected to miss the first few weeks of the regular season.

The Lakers open the regular season on October 18 against the Golden State Warriors.
