David Hunt to Take Over as PGIM President and CEO
Princeton, NJ-based PGIM, the global investment management business of Prudential Financial, has announced the appointment of David Hunt as its new president and CEO.
Hunt, a 30-year veteran of Morgan Stanley, will succeed David O'Malley, who is retiring after ten years at the helm of PGIM. Hunt will join PGIM on September 12 and assume his new role on October 1.
Hunt's Background and Experience
Hunt has a wealth of experience in investment management and leadership roles. He most recently served as head of Morgan Stanley's global fixed income division and head of strategy for the firm's Institutional Securities Group.
Before joining Morgan Stanley in 1993, Hunt worked at Bankers Trust Company and Goldman Sachs. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business.
