Two moderate magnitude earthquakes shake Los Santos municipality, Santander
Tremors were felt on Saturday night in eastern Santander following two earthquakes of magnitude 4.2 and 3.7 on the Richter scale
The epicenter of the first earthquake was located 19 kilometers northwest of Los Santos, while the second was 18 kilometers north of the same municipality.
According to the Geological Survey of Colombia, the first earthquake occurred at 10:36 p.m. local time and had a depth of 149 kilometers.
The second earthquake occurred at 11:02 p.m. local time and had a depth of 148 kilometers.
There were no reports of injuries or damage as a result of the earthquakes.
What to do during an earthquake
- Stay calm and don't panic.
- If you are indoors, stay there and take cover under a sturdy table or desk.
- If you are outdoors, move away from buildings and power lines.
- Do not use elevators.
- Be prepared for aftershocks.
