Fran Kirby, Guro Reiten and Pernille Harder were forced off injured as Chelsea were beaten 1-0 by Celtic in the first leg of their UEFA Women's Champions League last-32 tie in Glasgow.
The trio were all substituted in the first half, with Kirby replaced by Niamh Charles after just 19 minutes. Reiten and Harder followed before the break, with Johanna Rytting Kaneryd and Lauren James coming on.
Celtic took the lead in the 26th minute through Jacynta, who benefited from a mistake by Chelsea goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger.
The visitors pressed for an equaliser but were unable to find a way past Celtic goalkeeper Chloe Logan.
The defeat leaves Chelsea with a mountain to climb in the second leg, which will be played at Kingsmeadow on March 16.
Celtic, meanwhile, will take a narrow lead into the second leg, and will be confident of causing an upset.
