Victorian Institute of Sport announces former Olympian as new Chief Executive
Janine Murray to lead VIS into a new era of success
Murray brings a wealth of experience to the role, having competed at the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, and World Championships
The Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Janine Murray as its new Chief Executive.
Murray is a former Olympian who has represented Australia in track and field at two Olympic Games, two Commonwealth Games, and three World Championships.
She has also worked as a coach and administrator in the sport industry, and is currently a board member of the Australian Sports Commission.
Murray said she is excited to be joining the VIS and is looking forward to working with the team to build on the institute's success.

VIS Chairman David McKenzie said Murray's appointment was a coup for the institute.

Murray will commence her role as VIS Chief Executive on 1 January 2023.
